All are Welcome.  Children of all faiths are welcome in all of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic School’s programs.  The Early Childhood Learning Center at Our Lady of the Assumption School offers a safe and nurturing environment where your child can develop their whole self.

Our developmentally appropriate programs teach your child - through play and formal instruction - about themselves, others and God.

Social Development - Your child will learn respect for themselves and others by sharing and taking turns with the other children throughout daily self-guided play times and organized activities.

Emotional Development - Gentle guidance and encouragement will help your child develop both self-esteem and self-help skills as well as their attention spans.

Language Development - Your child will learn to communicate their needs by using their words.

Physical Development - Daily indoor and outdoor activities focus on enhancing your child’s gross and fine motor skills.

Creative Expression - Your child will be encouraged to creatively express themselves artistically, verbally and through imaginative play.

Faith Formation - Daily Bible stories and prayer times introduce your child to Christian values and principles, reinforcing what is being taught at home.

Calendar
The Early Childhood Learning Center at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic School follows the same calendar as the Fairfield Public School System.

Pre-K Programs for 3 & 4 Year Olds Requirements:

3 Year Old Pre-Kindergarten - must be 3 years-old by October 1st and must be completely potty-trained

4 Year Old Pre-Kindergarten - must be 4 years-old by October 1st and must be completely potty-trained

Enroll Now
Registering for our Early Childhood Learning Center is easy. You will just need to complete our Registration Form and submit a non-refundable $200 deposit to secure your child’s place.

Our Staff
“...dedicated to nurturing your child’s enthusiasm for learning.”   All members of our staff are loving and warm individuals dedicated to nurturing your child’s enthusiasm for learning. Each has more than 10 years experience in early childhood education. And, all of our staff meets or exceeds both diocesan and State qualification requirements.

Flexible Schedules:
Our flexible 3 & 4 year old Pre-Kindergarten schedules allow you to choose the times that best fit your child’s readiness (as well as your scheduling needs) ... 2-day, 3-day and 5-day programs are available.

Half Day Schedules is 8:40 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Full Day Schedules is 8:40 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Extended Day Schedule provides care for your child before the school day begins and after it has ended. This program extends the day, beginning at 7:30 a.m. and ending at 5:30 p.m.

A Child’s World
Play areas, each having blocks, toys, dress-up clothes, tools, puzzles, art supplies, books and musical instruments, are neatly arranged at your child’s eye level.

Kindergarten Readiness
Organized play is designed to encourage writing, reading, counting, and language enhancement.

A Time for Friends
Your child will spend fun-filled days making friends, learning to share and to help others.

Individualized Teaching
Low child-teacher ratios allow us to address each child’s unique learning style.

A Day They Can Count On
A set routine fosters your child’s independence and sense of security.
