ABOUT OUR SCHOOL:
Assumption School is a pre-K 3 through eighth grade school, dedicated to educating young minds through academically challenging curricula with a focus on moral and spiritual values. Children are taught that education is far more than information; it is a way of life, a way to serve God, family and community, while growing in mind and spirit.
At Assumption School, we endeavor to create an atmosphere in which the Gospel Message along with academic and cultural programs are integrated to form the whole child: spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically.
Assumption School was founded in 1955 with the enrollment of 80 students. In 1961 the first 8th graders graduated. Today, Assumption School continues its tradition of academic and spiritual excellence to its nearly 200 students in pre-kindergarten through 8th grade. Our student body is drawn from our area towns and communities. The majority of our students live in Fairfield, Easton and North Bridgeport.
