| Our Faculty & Staff Our school is staffed with experienced administrators and lay teachers, all of whom meet or exceed Diocesan and State qualifications. Dedicated to the education of young minds, our educators regularly participate in professional staff development to meet the challenges of today and maintain their high standards of education. Over 80% of the faculty hold a Master’s Degree.
Administration: Ms. Gerrie M. Desio, Principal I have been a school administrator for the past twenty-two years. Being a principal is a very challenging and rewarding job. I love seeing the students grow in knowledge and go from one grade to another each year. My greatest joy is to see the eighth graders graduate after spending nine years at their elementary school. Once they were tiny kindergartners and now they are leaving us as young men and women prepared for the next step in their education - high school. Children are our greatest treasures and to be a part of their development is a wonderful experience. Our Lady of the Assumption is a wonderful school and I am proud to be its administrator. Mrs. Paula Sobolewski, Assistant Principal & Kindergarden Teacher Mrs. Kathy Almeida, Assistant Principal & Science/Health Teacher for Grades 6-8

Ms. Kathy Andrade, Teacher - Grade 2
I have always loved working with children and knew from a young age that I wanted to teach. I have been teaching for 13 years. I chose to do so in the Catholic schools because I wanted to be able to foster the spiritual development of my students, as well as the academic and social aspects of their education. I enjoy the fact that Assumption provides smaller class sizes where students can receive the attention they deserve.
