* PLEASE NOTE: When there is a Snow Day, that day's color carries over to the day we return to school. For instance, if Monday is a Snow Day, and is a Blue day(Gym), then when we come back on Tuesday, it is a Blue day and the class will have Gym. You will have to adjust your calendars accordingly.
SOME IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
1. The first day of each week, the children will receive a homework packet. They should complete each night's assignment carefully and return it the following day. They should only be doing one page each night. Please check your child's completed work and encourage them to do their work carefully and neatly.
2. A book log will also be in each week's packet. The children are expected to read every night for 10 minutes as part of their homework assignment. Please read to your child or allow them to try to read to you on a nightly basis. Please log the books your child reads every day and return the book log to school every Friday.
3. Every Friday, I will be sending home your child's work for you to review in a "Friday Folder". This will help you to see on a weekly basis how your child is progressing and if there are any areas where they may need some assistance. Please return the empty folder to school every Monday.
4. The children do not have snack in 1st grade.
5. The school lunch program must be ordered on a monthly basis.. If you have not preordered your child's lunch, please be sure to send lunch into school every day.
6. Each child is being asked to have a reading book from home in their desk to be used when they finish their classwork.
