Happy New Year...let me begin by thanking all of you for my generous gifts. I really appreciated your kindness.

Mid term exams are a short two weeks away.  I am completing skills in various chapters. The sixth graders are finishing work on decimals, while the seventh are reviewing geometry terms.
Eighth graders are completing chapter five ..Equations and Inequalities.

Religion classes are continuing as following:

Gr. 6 is finishing Unit 2
Gr. 7 is presently working on chapter 10
Gr. 8 is completing chapter 9

I will be sending out a study guide for each subject and will also do a gereral review of all the material which will be covered on the mid terms.

Homework in math always follows the pattern of even examples in the text and all of the workbook pages.
Religion homework will vary because of our color coded days however it is always posted in my classroom.

Thank you for all your support.

Second semester has begun. My students are well prepared to move along in Math. As you know Math builds on previous skills. I continually remind the classes that we do not forget what we have previously learned especially our multiplication facts because knowing this will speed us along. My recent workshop with other math teachers in the Diocese reassured me that we are right on course and also further ahead in our MATH MAP.

The homework for all three grades continues to follow this pattern...Even numbered examples in the various chapters and all of the examples in the coinciding work book pages.

The season of Advent will soon be upon us. The religion classes will concentrate on this preparational season to help us reach the right spirit of Christmas. Once again we try to complete one chapter every week and also review our weekly magazines Venture and Visions.

I look forward to seeing many of you during conferences.
